A FEW OF THINGS NEED MENTIONING ...
1.
I will be running a system until somewhere around August 31st. At that time I
will be leaving for college and will not be able to maintain the system.
However, until that time I can be reached via modem at 401-725-5465. Please
keep all ProChat related discussion in conference 1 (Support). Thank you!
2.
Several people have also called my system asking me for their registration
number because they forgot it or asking for the "Registered To" display string
to be changed. If you want either task performed, please call my BBS and type
REGDOOR at the main command line. If it does not recognize you, please leave
me a message. It is available on your first call.
3.
This will most likely be the last release of ProChat using the ProKit door
writing toolkit. I have been working on (and have completed) a new PCBoard
interface toolkit (similar to ProKit) that I will be transferring ProChat to.
This is going to take some time, but in the end, ProChat will be seamless and
appear more of a part of PCBoard than the versions written with ProKit. Every
effort has been taken to duplicate PCBoard as much as possible in the new
version. The first beta version should be available by the end of July.
4.
I still haven't gotten to putting in the livechat that so many people have
asked for. For this, I am sorry. It will be coming soon. I promise! Things
have been hectic and I had a few problems with 3.0 for quite some time. I do
believe 3.0 to be 99% bug free (gotta leave room for the possibility ...) If
any bugs are found, please notify me.
5.
There is now a support conference on my board. Any questions, comments, or
suggestions you have for ProChat can be left in a message to me in that
conference. Full access to my system is granted on your first call.
6.
The newest version of ProChat is ALWAYS available on my system as a FREE
download. It is located in file directory 2 along with a list of other
programs for PCBoard that I have authored.
That's about it for now. Thank you for your support and have a great summer!
Matt Messier (ProChat author)
